How Basic Math Proves That God Exists

There are several scientific and philosophical theories that were advanced overtime to explain the creation of the universe and humans, many of which have now become widespread and accepted by society to various degrees. In this article however I simply wanted to focus on one of those theories, namely the Big Bang Theory.

I have personally always found the Big Bang Theory quite interesting and surprising. According to NASA, the Big Bang Theory can be defined as followed:

In 1927, an astronomer named Georges Lemaître had a big idea. He said that a very long time ago, the universe started as just a single point. He said the universe stretched and expanded to get as big as it is now, and that it could keep on stretching (https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/big-bang/en/).

Jesusandtheuniverse

I found the short answer they provided regarding the question: “what is the Big Bang theory?” much simpler:

The big bang is how astronomers explain the way the universe began. It is the idea that the universe began as just a single point, then expanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now (and it could still be stretching). (https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/big-bang/en/)

Based on the summary above everything was created from nothing, a single point. The origin of the single point of course is unknow and simply exists before the expansion started. Then from that single point all things including the earth and all the lives thereon such as animals, plants, and us human overtime were “expanded” from that single point into existence.

I then tried to recreate this scenario using basic math. We all know that science focuses on empirical evidence to understand a given event via observations and data collection while math uses a logical approach based on establishing relationship between giving elements by a quantification method and calculations to gain understanding. Some believe that both are the same in one however that discussion is out of the scope of this article.

I attempted to use basic math to complete a simple arithmetic operation that could illustrate the “Big Bang theory”. I started my calculations with the single point from the theory = 0 in math. Arithmetic operations in math are fairly simple calculations made use operators such as:

Addition (+), Subtraction (-), Multiplication (* or x), and Division ( : or /) (https://www.mathemania.com/lesson/basic-math-operations/).

In my mathematical illustration of the “Big Bang theory” I used the integer “0” as a starting point because it translates into the absence of nothing :

(0) + (0) = 0

(0) x (0) = 0

(0) – (0) = 0

(0) / (1) = 0

In other words, to move from the integer “0” to a number that is not negative, only an addition (+) arithmetic operation can be made to cause an “increase” or an “expansion”. The integer “0” can in no shape or form “expand” into anything else until something is added to it, and that something has to be added from outside of it. Let us revisit the previous example by inserting (1) into those operations:

(0) + (1) = 1

(0) x (1) = 0

(0) – (1) = -1

(0) / (1) = 0

A summary of these same operations in MS excel is shown below:

Again, the only way there has to be an “expansion” from a single point or an “increase” from nothing that I represented by the integer “0” is when somebody intentionally adds something to the “nothing = 0”:

(0) + (1) = 1

This then summarizes the process of creation which consists in somebody adding onto nothing to arrive to a final product. May it be earth and other planetary units in the universe and lives on earth. Is this harder to believe than a theory that the whole universe expanding from nothing into something? Is it harder to believe the existence of a creator who increased the value of “0” to what we have now including us human?

According to Genesis 1 it is written:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.”  So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.  God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

JesusChrist

Now is it this hard to believe that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob also knows by the name of the burning bush “Great I Am”.“I Am That I Am” created all things  and claimed authorship of it like all human authors do by writing their names or that of their companies on the products they create? An author always takes pride in his creation and takes ownership of it and wants to be recognized as the author of such creation. And all authors have a signature. Or is it the perhaps more convenient not to believe in a creator to avoid being held accountable while living freely on earth as one wants? one wants.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is a godhead of 3 in 1, he does not have a dissociative personality disorder of 3 different people, but he is 3 in one:

  • The Great I AM = The Father
  • The Great I AM – The son Jesus Christ when he came on earth
  • The Great I AM – The Holy Spirit, his power

Remember that even we human are made of the Body, Soul, and Spirit, right? Almost all religions have come to the knowledge of this reality. That is because the author above The Great I AM explained that he created us just like him, in his own image.

Can you now at least have an idea why Jesus Christ the Great I Am, God in the flesh is the only way? And none other?

Let’s then repent by turning away from living for ourselves and by our carnal hearts filled with some much evil that it is not only destroying us but those around us. Let’s run to Jesus Christ who is both a physical and spiritual Heart Surgeon. He has been waiting for you and I even before birth.

Shalom to You in the name of Jesus Christ!

Glory be to the Great I AM the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Our Lord God is One!

Thank you Jesus the GREAT I AM my Lord and King!
